Citizen Charter
This is a document prepared and displayed by each government department and local body (panchayat/municipality) to ensure that the public receives accurate services on time. It helps people who visit the offices understand their rights without having to ask anyone.
The key information included in it:

Required documents: Which documents need to be submitted along with the application for each service.
Fee structure: The application fee or the total amount to be paid.
Time limit: How many days it will take to get the service/certificate once applied (for example: Birth certificate - 3 days).
Grievance redressal: Who to complain to if the service is not received within the mentioned time or if staff shows corruption (including the name and designation of the appellate authority).
